12 year old Afghani suicide bomber kills four
The blast occurred in the crowded market in Paktika province, killing three men and a women along with wounding dozens. The boy was seen pedaling a bicycle in the market minutes before the explosion splattered pedestrians all over the street. The governor’s office claims the boy was a minor aged 12. This is not yet the wave of attacks against high-profile targets that some expected, says the BBC’s Paul Wood in Kabul. According to Afghan officials, Taliban insurgents have declared to engage in new attacks on foreign troops. International organisations, including the UN are worried about the safety of their workers and have warned them not to step out unnecessarily unless it’s an emergency.
