A Bengali man has been punished brutally for kidnapping and forcefully marrying a 12 year-old underage girl.

The 30-year-old man was given a punishment like none other before.  He had a brick tied to his penis while 200 people watched him walk through his home village naked, AFP News reports.

The village’s local council decided the penance was perfect for the crime that had been committed.

Police are investigating the incident as local councils are mostly forbidden to give out punishments on such a scale.

According to reports, local councils in Bangladesh only have permission to deal with minor issues such as land disputes.
