John Giovas and his sister, Chris, who own the Gloria Jean’s Coffees franchise in Gymea, New South Wales, know how to win an award.  They were runner-up in the Franchise Council Business of the Year award in 2010. They also won the International Franchise Partner award at biannual conference in the same year. In just three years, they have achieved their five-year plan, exceeding their initial hopes for the business.

Do you know why they are successful and worthy of those rewards?

Well, the two have a simple formula.  They make customers feel right at home by communicating with them as if they were family.  That is how they earned the reputation, that and off course the delicious coffee.  It’s not every day when the owners of a restaurant or a coffee shop, pull out a chair and ask you about your day with a smile on.
