Why is that we leave all our work for the very last minute? Why is it so hard for us to do things according to a certain deadline? Is it because we are lazy, careless, over confident or just because we don’t know how to manage our time? Why can’t we plan out what we have to do and when so we don’t overstress and overburden ourselves? Managing our time makes life a lot easier and we get things done on time and efficiently as well.
Usually when we get assignments from school even if we have a month to do them we still wait till the very night before submission to work on it. It causes stress and panic because we aren’t sure if we’re ever going to get it done on time. Even when we have an exam and have been given a study leave we start preparing last minute and go into a major state of fright.
Why is this so? Wouldn’t it have saved us the worry if we started the preparations step by step? The same thing goes for office work. If we take a little at a time it won’t all come right back at us at the last minute.
Wedding preparations for guests or for the bride herself usually become very stressful and hectic. Things are often left for the last few days which cause a lot of problems. Alterations in the size of clothes can’t be made, changes in the event can’t be brought about, and everything is a mess and all over the place. There is no time to make changes and things go wrong and not according to plan creating a very chaotic situation. Everyone is stressed and keeps taking out their frustration on one another making a joyous occasion quite unpleasant. If things were planned and done before hand the situation could be easily controlled and the stress levels wouldn’t be over the top.
Even when we make a plan with friends we start getting ready at the very last minute making others who are waiting for us late and at not getting where we were supposed to on time. When we have to go somewhere we start to pack just a little while before we actually have to leave and a result we often forget some very important things that we had needed to take along. Why can’t we stop being lazy and do things when they should be done?
Why don’t we know how to manage our time? Why is it so hard for us to meet deadlines? Why do we always complain about not having enough time to do our work when it us who leave things for the last minute? Why must we do everything last minute?
