The recent strike by Young Doctors Association in Punjab has thrown up some uneasy questions for all sides where they demand an appropriate service structure and increase in pay scales.

The question remains whether Doctors have the moral right to take such steps? Is it a question of ethics or professional rights?

Is it appropriate for the Government to call out the police and make arrests after having repeatedly gone back on its words?
