Stalker alert! Stalkers exist in every part of the world and there is no escaping them at all. They just have to be dealt with wisely. Every human experiences at least one or more stalker incidents in their lifetime. Why do people stalk? This is a question that cannot be answered. We certainly live among some very creepy people.

It is not only a major setback for women but ironically for men as well. Although men can still bear with females who stalk them in most cases, for women this problem gets out of control can lead to bigger penalties.

Stalkers cannot be wiped out of existence but there are some precautionary measures that can be taken to avoid them, or control this problem to a certain extent. When going out in a public place always beware of stalkers and think of everyone having their eyes on you.

That way you can control your behavior and act in a discreet manner avoiding unnecessary attention. Try socializing in a big mixed group of friends since a girl alone is considered to be an easy target. When sitting with friends try to keep your back towards strangers as guys have a habit of staring and taking photographs with their cell phone cameras. Carry a can of pepper spray with you and do not hesitate to use it if someone is getting too clingy and making you uncomfortable. Lastly you can always report any inappropriate behavior to the authorities who usually do cater to such complaints.

When going home if you come across any stalkers, change the route you take, mislead and dodge them as much as you can. Do not go home until you are sure of the fact that they are no longer following you. If the situation gets out of control call some friends or family who live nearby to come and assist you immediately. All girls should put sun shades in their cars; it offers some form of privacy. Also try to avoid driving alone late at night. It will really help.

If someone is following your car, head for the nearest public place, and NEVER drive to your home. If you see a police patrol, tell them you are feeling threatened. Go to a shopping mall or a busy street where you are not alone.

There are only these little safety precautions one can take to deal with stalkers. To all the stalkers who are maybe reading this I ask what pleasure do you get of stalking a girl? Would you like someone looking at your mother, sister, daughter or a loved one with inappropriate intentions? Why can’t people keep to themselves and mind their own business? Why do they enjoy making other people’s life difficult?
