Usually it is the men in our society that are blamed for almost everything even if they aren’t the ones at fault. Why is this so? Why do most people feel that women are always right and show unnecessary sympathy towards them? We need to realize that be it a man or a woman both are equally capable of making errors, faltering or committing crimes. It is not always the men who are wrong but women also. Women are not the innocent harmless people that most of them portray themselves to be.

In almost every situation that a man and a woman are involved in together it is usually the guy who is blamed. If a man yells at his wife in public (which obviously he should not do) people with judge and criticize him even if they are unaware as to why he did so. If an accident happens on the road and it is the woman’s fault that caused it they would let it slide or blame and beat up the man even though he was completely innocent.

If a woman seduces a man and he responds to it, even if later she accuses him, in most cases people will take her side and come to “rescue or defend” her respect. What sort of justice is this? Why be so unfair and punish the poor guy for a crime he that he did not commit?

The police in Pakistan especially greatly differentiate between the sexes and that is not how it is supposed to be at all. If man commits a crime he is taken into custody and is a victim of police brutality but with a woman they are ‘usually’ very lenient. Even at security checks, be they at an airport, restaurant or any other place, men are thoroughly checked but when the guards or the police see that it is a woman they just let her pass without even checking the car most of the times.

Can a woman not be a terrorist? Can she not be armed and dangerous? We have recently had a case where the woman who masterminded the Mehran base attack has been captured. How do we know there are not more such women just waiting for a chance? What sort of a delusional world are we living in? Conditions in the country are not safe anymore and by differentiating between the sexes the security forces are compromising on the safety of the other citizens.

I being a woman do not feel respected but insecure when I am let through without being checked. God knows how many other women they let through the same way that actually may be equipped with weapons or other illegal items.

Why are the security forces not carrying out their duty properly? Should a woman be allowed to pass without being put through the security check just because of her sex? Should there be more lady police out at public places to deal with security checks for women? Do you feel it is okay to let a woman go through without a security check?
