However achieving this status of freedom came at grave cost as countless lives were lost during the migration phase. Pakistan’s existence today is a result of sacrifices and courage of our elders who fought through all the hardships and gave us a platform to progress. This independence day Bina Faisal presents the tale of Mrs.Shamshad Qureshi who experienced first hand all the trauma associated with the migration phase and gives us a valuable lesson for this generation.
