There’s spit in my burger!

If there’s one thing that people love, and I mean love so much that they don’t even care how bad it if for their health, it’s fast food. Those delicious burgers, the fried chicken the french fries – simply mouth watering.
I know I crave a double quarter pounder every night, but my mom wants me to eat “saalan chawal” (rice and gravy). We spend so much money on fast food, and we do it because we love it and we enjoy it. See that’s the beauty of fast food, it looks good on billboards and it looks just as good in your hands but, the presentation is deceiving. You might not know this but you may have consumed human phlegm!
This food is prepared by employees that receive minimum age and a lot of these employees aren’t happy with their salary and they just might take their frustration out on you. Many cases have been reported that people received burgers only to find human spit in them or coffees and teas with human spit floating on the top when they checked under the drink caps.
Now these people don’t just do it for fun, or just because they want to. They’re angry because you made a scene out of your order.
Take this case for example, an employee at a world’s famous burger chain in South Carolina spit in a customer’s tea after they returned it because it wasn’t sweet enough. The employee is shown leaning on camera and spitting in the tea just before giving it back to the customer. The employee was arrested.
However there are many such cases, in fact most of them get away with their food tampering habits. Did you know that in the United States, 60% of the fast food restaurants were in violation of the health code? Guess a lot of people aren’t washing their hands before serving you your food. Yikes!
So I guess the only thing you can do is not annoy your waiter or the next time you eat your delicious sandwich you might just find a nasty surprise in there. It is reassuring to see that the police take these incidents very seriously. I mean come on that’s just gross.
Have you ever found something that shouldn’t be in your food?
