Why is society so unjust? Why are the innocent always made to suffer by society and the guilty not even punished for their wrong doings? Why do we always blame the wrong people and pass snap judgments? Is it illiteracy, injustice or our sick mentality that just won’t change? When will we start to think out of the box and from a broader and more open minded perspective? Why do we jump to conclusions and make decisions when we are mentally unstable and notable to control our temper. It is said that anger is a man’s worst enemy and this is statement is a hundred percent correct.
Often we do not mean things we say or do in extreme anger but there is always a little bit of truth in what comes out of us during that phase. We should be very careful of how we choose to express our emotions because often they can cause complications for others and also for ourselves. If we are going through a problem we should think it through with a calm mind and it will help us a lot more then when we jump to conclusions in intense anger.
I would like to report an incident. I know a domestic servant, whose wife and 3 kids live in a village in Punjab, while he works in Karachi. The wife’s father was accused of helping a couple elope. Technically, they were husband and wife, so maybe it should not be called an elopement. But the bone of contention was that she went with her husband without her parent’s consent..
Even though it has nothing to with the daughter, that runaway girl’s family wants to avenge her father’s deed by harming her. Her life is being threatened because the families of the couple are extremely angry and instead of taking their anger out on the man they are blaming, they are threatening to kill her. How is any of this fair?
The women for the fear of her life has now come back from the village with her young son to live under the protection of her husband but has had to compromise on living without her two very young daughter as they attend school there and if they were to be brought back their education would have to suffer. The education in the city is too expensive for them to be able to afford in the income.
Is it fair on the poor girl who had nothing to do with the situation? Why is her life being threatened for something that she has not even done? Why is the family making the innocent one suffer for a mistake her father may or may not have committed? Is there any way to change such mentality?
